At the June 7, 2022 Special Board Meeting, the Del Valle ISD Board of Trustees approved a resolution calling for elected officials to protect schools with gun violence prevention legislation.
The Del Valle ISD Book Bus is back to bring reading materials and family resources to families across DVISD! Books for elementary, middle, and high school students are available on the bus.
During the school year, nutritious meals are available through the National School Breakfast Program and School Lunch Program. These programs end when school ends for the summer; however, the U.S. Department of Agriculture's (USDA) Summer Food Service Program helps fill the hunger gap by providing FREE meals for kids. Except for the week of July 4 – July 8, when the District is closed, Del Valle ISD will provide meal service Monday-Thursday at the following campuses:
As you may have seen, an unspeakable tragedy took place this afternoon at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde. As a community, let’s come together and keep the Uvalde families in our thoughts and prayers.
The non profit "The Young Women's Alliance" selected five Senior Del Valle ladies and each received a $5,000 scholarship. In collaboration with the DVHS College and Career Center, this event was organized and coordinated to award these five students. Counsel member Vanessa Fuentes representing District 2 was in attendance at this event as she is a member of the young Women's Alliance. Thank you to the YWA for offering this opportunity. Del Valle is incredibly proud of these recipients and can wait to see what the future holds for these Cardinals.
Del Valle ISD announced the 2021-22 district Teachers of the Year at a special dinner celebration presented by the Del Valle ISD Education Foundation on Thursday, May 12.
