2022-2023 Parent—Student—School Compact 

 

The Del Valle Community envisions the highest level of success for every individual. We make the commitment to motivate, to challenge and to inspire each other to become the best we can possibly be.

To accomplish this; students, parents, and the school need to work together. We ask that you promise to do this by completing and signing the part of the agreement that belongs to you.

As a Student, I _______________________________________(name), will

• Follow the Del Valle High School (DVHS & DVISD) ‘Student Code of Conduct’.

• Understand and follow the DVHS dress code rules & policy.

• Attend school every day and be on time.

• Be safe on the school bus and follow directions.

• Always try to do my best in my work and in my behavior.

• Work cooperatively with my classmates.

• Show respect for myself, my school and other people.

• Take pride in my school.

• Come to school prepared with my homework and supplies.

• Believe that l can learn and will learn.

• Read daily at home for a minimum of 20 minutes.

 

As a Parent, I (name), will

• See that my child attends school regularly and on time.

• Provide a home environment that encourages my child to learn.

• Insist that all homework assignments are completed.

• Communicate regularly with my child's teachers.

• Support the school in developing positive behaviors.

• Talk with my child about his/her school activities every day.

• Encourage my child to read at home and to monitor his/her TV viewing & technology usage.

• Try to volunteer time at my child's schools.

• Show respect and support for my child, the teachers, and the school.

 

As a school, we will:

• Provide a safe and supportive learning environment.

• Teach classes with an interesting and challenging curriculum that promotes student achievement.

• Motivate students to learn.

• Set high expectations and help every child be successful.

• Communicate frequently and meet with parents about student progress.

• Provide opportunities for parents to volunteer and participate in school functions.

• Implement professional development opportunities which improve teaching and learning and support the formation of partnerships with families.

• Actively participate in collaborative decision making with parents and school colleagues to make our school accessible and welcoming for families.

• Respect teachers, students, staff and families.

La Comunidad Del Valle imagina el nivel más alto de éxito para cada individuo. Hacemos el compromiso de motivar, desafiar e inspirar el uno al otro para hacernos el mejor que posiblemente  podemos ser.

Llevar a cabo esto; los padres, los maestros y los estudiantes tienen que trabajar juntos. Les pedimos  que usted prometa hacer esto completando y firmando la parte del acuerdo que le pertenece.

Como un Estudiante, yo___________________________________________ (nombre), voy a

• Seguir la “conducta del código estudiantil” de la preparatoria de Del Valle y el distrito de Del Valle.

• Entender y obedecer los reglamentos del código de Del Valle de vestimenta.

• Asistir a la escuela todos los días y llegar a tiempo.

• Estar seguro en el autobús y seguir instrucciones.

• Siempre tratar de hacer todo lo posible con mi trabajo y con mi comportamiento;

• Trabajar cooperativamente con mis compañeros de clase.

• Demostrar respeto a mí mismo, mi escuela, y otra gente .

• Tomar orgullo en mi escuela.

• Venir  a la escuela lista con mi tarea y mis útiles.

• Creer que yo puede aprender y voy aprender.

Como una escuela, nosotros vamos a:

• Proveer un ambiente de aprendizaje seguro y de apoyo.

• Enseñar a clases con un currículo interesante y desafiante que promueve el logro del estudiante.

• Motivar a los estudiantes a aprender.

• Establecer altas expectativas y ayudar a cada niño a tener éxito en el cumplimiento de los estándares académicos de Texas.

• Mantener comunicación frecuente y reunir con padres acerca del progreso del estudiante.

• Proporcionar oportunidades para que los padres sean voluntarios, participar y observar en los salones.

• Poner oportunidades de desarrollo profesional que mejoran la enseñanza y aprendizaje y apoyan la formación de alianzas con las familias.

• Participar activamente en la toma de decisiones en colaboración con los padres y compañeros de la escuela para que nuestra escuela sea accesible y acogedor para las familias.

• Respetar a los maestros, los estudiantes, el personaje y las familias.
