Student Parking Permit
Student Drivers
All students who drive to school must provide the following requirements to receive a school parking permit. Any vehicle without the proper permit will not be allowed to park in the parking lot. Del Valle Police Department will supervise and monitor the parking lot.
____ Copy of valid Texas Driver’s License
____ Provide proof of insurance of the vehicle that will be driven to DVHS with the car make and model listed on the policy. Students must be listed on Insurance.
____ Purchase an assigned student parking permit for $25 (per vehicle) for the 2026-2027 school year, assigned parking spot.
____ Personalized Parking space for Seniors Only
____ Have a completed and submitted a Student Parking Contract - Forms are available for pick up in the Main Office
____When applying for drivers license you must meet the 90% attendance rule
- The parking permit - decal is to be displayed on the lower left corner of the front windshield at all times while the student’s vehicle is parked on campus.
- Students will need to speak with an administrator for approval if they need more than one parking sticker.
- Students may not purchase a permit for another student.
- All students involved in fraudulent parking permit purchases will lose parking privileges
- Please note that if a student is found with illegal substances or prohibited items while on any Del Valle Independent School District property, the students will lose the privilege to drive and park on campus.
- Excessive tardies CAN lead to revocation of parking privileges.
- The Student Code of Conduct and all federal, state, and local laws will be enforced at all times. Text or graphics of any drug, drug paraphernalia, drug use, slander, slang, racism, gangs, or of a sexual connotation will lead to administrative consequences and/or criminal action.
Parking at Del Valle High School is a privilege. Students that do not abide by the rules are subject to disciplinary actions that can lead to losing the privilege of parking on campus. All student vehicles must have a current Del Valle High School parking decal .
Regulations for Student Parking Lot
- Student vehicles must be parked in the designated student parking lot (closest to Ross Rd). Student vehicles parked anywhere else on school property are subject to fines and/or being towed at the owner’s expense. Students are not allowed to park in the Faculty/Staff, Visitor, The Village, or the Early College parking lots.
- Parking decals must be adhered to and clearly displayed on the driver’s side of the windshield or on the left side.
- Students will be assigned a designated parking spot.
- Students must observe the ten (10) mph speed limit.
- No loitering in the parking lot before, during, (During Lunch) or after school.
- Students are not permitted to leave school once they are on campus nor during class hours or take other students off-campus without permission from the student’s assigned principal. *Del Valle HS IS A CLOSED CAMPUS- NO STUDENTS ARE ALLOWED TO LEAVE DURING LUNCH WITHOUT A PARENT SIGNING STUDENT OUT.
- No texting or talking on the phone while driving on campus.
- Students cannot purchase a permit for another student
- All students involved in fraudulent parking permit purchases will lose parking privileges
Penalties for Failure to Comply with Parking Lot Regulations
- 1st Parking violation- WARNING STICKER
- 2nd Parking violation- A BOOT WILL BE ATTACHED - $150 TO REMOVE
- 3rd Parking violation- VEHICLE TOWED AT OWNER’S EXPENSE/ POSSIBLE LOSS OF PARKING PRIVILEGES.
*Recurring violations will result in the removal of the vehicle at the owner’s expense and the possible loss of parking privileges.
